Recognizing Stress Triggers

Your stress doesn't come from nowhere. It has its "buttons" (triggers). Finding them is detective work. Triggers can be external (boss, traffic jam) or internal (the thought "I can't do it").

ABC Journal

Record stressful situations in 3 columns:

  • A (Antecedent): What happened BEFORE? (e.g., I received an email)
  • B (Behavior): What was my REACTION? (e.g., I started eating cookies)
  • C (Consequence): What were the CONSEQUENCES? (e.g., I felt worse)

The Detective in Corty

The Journal in Corty allows you to tag entries ("Work," "Relationships," "Sleep"). After a month, you'll see clearly what your main source of stress is. Knowledge is power.
