Mindfulness is a word that has been extensively used in recent years. But it is not a New Age fad or a religion. It is mental training, consisting of directing attention to the present moment in a non-judgmental way. That's all, and that's enough.
Why is it So Difficult?
Our brain is a time-traveling machine. It either dwells on the past (depression) or simulates the future (anxiety). Very rarely is it "here and now." Mindfulness is an anchor that keeps you in reality.
