Mental Health Tamagotchi

Remember Tamagotchi? A small egg with a digital pet that needed to be fed and played with to survive. In the 90s, it taught us responsibility. Today, the same mechanics (Gamification) are used to teach us to take care of... ourselves.

Self-Care as an RPG Game

Taking care of mental health can be boring and difficult. "I have to go to therapy," "I have to meditate." What if you treated yourself like a character in a game?

  • Drinking water = +5 HP (Health Points).
  • Meditation = +10 Mana (Mental Energy).
  • Walking = Stamina Regeneration.

The brain loves rewards. Seeing a progress bar releases dopamine, which motivates us to repeat healthy behaviors.

Corty: Your Virtual Companion

In the Corty app, you're not alone. You're accompanied by Corty – a friendly character (a little ghost/cloud) that reacts to what you do.

  • When you meditate and sleep regularly, Corty is joyful and changes colors.
  • When you neglect your journal, Corty might get sad and remind you about itself.
  • You collect "Breaths" (points) that unlock new features.
