The internet is full of free recordings. You type "relaxation" into YouTube and get millions of results. The problem? Quality. Often, these are amateur recordings with poor microphones, annoying background music, or – worse – ads in the middle of meditation ("Buy laundry detergent!"). In relaxation, the devil is in the details.
What to Look for in a Good Recording?
- Narrator's Voice: Must be warm, low, and slow (so-called hypnotic). High tones and fast pace subconsciously stimulate.
- Audio Quality: No background noise, crackles. The sound must be spatial (stereo/binaural) to "envelop" the listener.
- Structure: A good relaxation has an introduction (induction), a main part, and a safe awakening.
